Today celebrated chef Sergio Herman of The Jane restaurant in Antwerp was announced as the 2015 Beer and Gastronomy Ambassador, taking over the mantle from TV chef Jeroen Meus.
The title is handed out annually by the Beer Society of the Low Countries and aims to promote the combination of beer and gastronomy.
“In recent years, interest in beer has grown enormously,” said Herman. “It’s very nice to play with it and surprise your guests. Not only in a dish, but also as a pairing or, indeed, why not in cocktails.”
